What counts as one fit assessment?
One assessment compares one job with your saved experience and explains the supporting evidence and gaps. Reopening the unchanged result doesn't use another assessment. Saving, dismissing or tracking a job doesn't use one either. A score isn't a hiring prediction.
What counts as one application preparation?
One job, its fit assessment, focused questions, a tailored résumé, and two AI update rounds after the first draft. One round can include corrections, questions and the resulting redraft. Manual wording edits and downloads don't use an update. A different job is a new preparation. You submit the application; an interview or job isn't guaranteed.
Should I assess a job before preparing for it?
You don't need to. Every preparation includes its own fit assessment, so start the preparation directly when you already know you want to apply. An assessment you've already used on that job isn't returned.
What happens when I use everything?
No automatic charge. You can keep saving and tracking jobs, using completed résumés, and using the ordinary GTFO/Funemployed tools unlocked by your purchase. New AI work waits until you deliberately buy another package.
What happens if the work fails?
A system failure won't consume an assessment or preparation: it goes back into your account. Existing completed work stays available. Our internal retries aren't extra customer purchases.
Why don't we just charge what the AI costs?
AI is one expense, not the whole service. In our October 2026 usage review, model calls averaged about 5¢ per assessment. Three recent tailoring sessions cost about $1.51–$1.90 each; that's a small sample, not a promised maximum. Prices also cover payment processing, failed work, our time, and services such as Supabase, Vercel, PostHog and Post Bridge. Those shared bills are not a made-up fee added to every action. We price for people using everything they buy.
